Ewan Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago It’s April Fools Day, so only appropriate I tax the SEiGHT and go to work in it today. Joy! 5 Quote
Labrat Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago The Peaks are alive to the sound of V8s! Put the Seight back on the road again after a year off. MOT passed first thing this morning and now taxed and ready for a warm and sunny lunchtime run out on the local twisty bits. 4 Quote

Sometimes I do wonder if the rest of us are missing out on something great here! Two quick questions for anyone who knows, how much does one weigh and what sort of power are they putting out when fairly standard? Quote

Talking of April Fools Day, did any of you see the Jack Webb Motorsport post on FB about their new 4 seater Caterham? 😂 Quote

Two quick questions for anyone who knows, how much does one weigh and what sort of power are they putting out when fairly standard? I'm not sure there is a standard but mine is 620kg wet weight and puts out 238bhp (stage 2 3.9 with lightened and balanced internals- so it spins up very quickly for a RV8). I don't have any weather gear, heater or boot box and a fair number of lighter parts than might be standard though. It feels like a big car to drive in some ways but I would say that whilst it may not handle quite as sharply as a BEC it is by no means the lardy lump some commenters on the internet would have you think. Maybe in full touring set up it would be getting nearer 900kg? Power can range from a standard 3.5 at ~170bhp to 5.2 with 460+bhp. For me its the torque from low revs that makes it feel slightly different to other normally aspirated 7s, in my opinion, and the soundtrack. Mine may be slightly compromised in terms of ground clearance but the underslung exhausts do sound great. Hope that helps? 1 1 Quote

If I traded across from my zetec I'd be looking at a Seight Quote

That's surprisingly light my megablade rocks in at 520kg with tank of fuel is the engine mainly alloy on the v8 Quote

Ewan Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago My SEiGHT has about 210bhp, and weighs around 800kg as is very much road/touring orientated currently. Still roars like thunder and spits flames from the twin side pipes, so quite amusing. 1 Quote
