Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 It’s a bit muddy out there. The wheel arch was absolutely covered until I drove through a bit of a flood and that washed most of it off! Still, will be washing the car in a bit… 2 Quote
Andrzej Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 Todays - after wash picture Later changed headlights bulbs from Philips +130% etc to Aliexpress LEDs , Was during a beer so test drive tommorow evening, but looking good so far, seems a good improvement. (thanks for advice @Flying Carrot Steve ! (in fact His advice was original Auxito bulbs, but I'v tried the Alixepress version - will see. External quality looks really good , as is the fitting) From parking perspective I really can see improvement, might be partly due to more blueish colour, but in long distance swithch now I see the bulbs are working, that was not alway the case with halogen H4) ) 7 Quote
Craigieboy Posted October 23, 2024 Posted October 23, 2024 First drive after fitting the side screens and they really make quite a difference in the cold weather, I was noticeably warmer inside. Had a 3 figure blast on the motorway too and they performed well, just a shame they've arrived just before Sorn. 6 Quote

Link if possible please? Quote

Andrzej Posted October 24, 2024 Posted October 24, 2024 How is Your experience with doors (exept it is in fact warmer ,well not so cold better to say inside? ) We have noticed that with doors there is tendency to accumulate smell/fumes from exhaust in cockpit (without roof) , strange aerodynamics but experienced few times . I didn't do that many miles, but it was quite varied driving and I really like them. Significantly less turbulence especially on the motorway where normally I'd cruise at 65-70 mph, I tried much faster and was more comfortable. Often my arms and tops of legs get cold, but again I was quite cosy inside and no noticeable fumes. So it's a thumbs up and glad I have a few options now depending on the weather 👍 Quote
Ewan Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 (edited) Probably my last run of the year in the Westy. Took it up Zig-Zag hill near Shaftesbury (a Dorset version of an alpine pass!), then to Guy Ritchie’s airfield for a nice slice of cake. Edited October 28, 2024 by Ewan correction 8 Quote

Popular Post Glen_I Posted October 31, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 31, 2024 I've been a tad quiet on the WWSC this year, and I'm putting it down to not having the best weather this summer. However one last blast tonight as it will be sorn'd from tonight and then getting tucked away for the winter for some tinkering.... She went well tonight😉 10 Quote
