RickRack Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Finally got round to giving her a vacuum, thorough wash & polish after driving back through monsoons & tsunami’s (I know I’ve been told 1,000,000 times not to exaggerate) from Newark a few weeks back - had that much debris across it, I though it had Toybox strips on it 🫣🙃😱 all ready for the Black Country meet on Sunday 👍 4 Quote

Kingster Posted October 9, 2024 Posted October 9, 2024 As per another post, here’s a recent snap of my (ex) Westfield turned up to a car meet in Inverness when I was up there for the weekend. Not quite a coincidence though because it now belongs to a mate of a mate and I also still keep in touch with the new owner. 1 Quote

But honestly, I really, really like the Exige so no, I don’t miss the westy. The Lotus has a proper roof and is so much more confidence inspiring in the wet that it meant that what would have been a miserable weekend in the Westy was great fun in the Lotus. Which is the reason I swapped over in the first place. However, if I were to actually drive it again around those lovely highland roads on a nice sunny day, the answer might be different 😁 4 2 Quote

Yip, like you said I wanted to try something to break up the mass of the bonnet. Sum total of about £18 so if I change my mind haven't spent much. Quote

Just lined up the broad carbon ones with masking tape and applied them dry. And the thin ones I just did freehand, took me back to putting coachlines on cars way back. All vinyl from Ebay and very sticky, 2-3 weeks in and no issues. 2 Quote
