Who is the idiot who forgot to replace his radiator cap losing all his coolant when the temperature gauge was reading over 120°?

I've done that myself, luckily I heard it bounce off the floor about 50 yards from the drive 🤦‍♂️😂

Luckily, mine had only fallen off the rocker cover and was stopped by the plug leads after about 25 miles.

But then I'm sure there is not meant to be a hole there.

I waited almost four hours for the RAC, but time flew due to the number of people who pulled over to check I was OK. The RAC chap was also very helpful once he arrived. 

 

I think I need to now splash out on a new raceline sump.  I stopped no more than half a mile after it happened, most of which was coasting, so I'm hopeful that there is no engine damage.
