As I have found out on my car, the biggest issue with mudflaps is they can cause your front wings to crack.

This is the first time in well over 20k miles of Westfielding that I've regretted not having mud flaps, so I may hold out yet! I've Carbon NV wings which ae very strong but the risk of cracks remains. I'll do some careful thinking and research.

Yes I would give it careful thought!

The problem comes in choosing just how low to go with these, I had some many years ago and made the mistake of doing them too long. Was not an issue going forwards, but should you ever have to reverse over uneven ground ( as was in my case) the mud flap will get dragged under the tyre and destroy not only the wing itself but the stays as well ( although these only were bent) . It was at this stage I went for full clamshell wings. So just be careful with how low you go and also be aware of the ground you are driving on.

Mine was caused by the mudguard oscillating forwards and backwards so much it just made the wing split quite badly. They do help preserve a very expensive silencer though. They create a lot of drag to so they will be coming off for any track days. A longer front wing would be a better idea so it hangs lower at the back acting like a mudguard in itself

Go Old Skool, and fit butterfly wings. No need for mudflaps then.

I do actually feel a bit bad about this - but had an ornament after getting back from a charge across the hills!

Yep I'd feel the same. I saved 5 bees and a moth this week. Fed the struggling bees sugar water, amazing how quickly they recover after supping some up!

Those dragonflies are beautiful things and have been around since before the dinosaurs. Don't see them as often as we did when I was a kid.

Decided to tax mine today, swapped the wheels obviously and went out for a blast down the lanes, bit stiff for the road but loved every minute!!

I went out for a wee Sunday drive and bumped into these guys. The Long Way North troupe, great to meet fellow enthusiasts out Westfielding.
