Hi Greg, nice car. I'm in W.A too and am looking at building one, how was the process for you? Nice and straightforward?

I'll try new plugs when I get back from my holiday.  No rev limiter, so that's one thing I don't have to worry about!

Thanks for your ideas, they are most welcome.

I had issues with mine last year, a Pinto on 45's with Luminition ignition pack.  I went through everything and it turned out to be the alternator!  It would start OK and then start playing up as it got warm..... it semed that the cooling fan was kicking in and causing the issue due to the regulator packing up and the draw of  current was too great for it to handle.

Can you try a different alternator to rule that out?

Doing a full body swap in a day is stressful but satisfying!

Although I seemed to pick the same RAL code as my recycling bin...

Great choice, is it the standard blue? Like different in the light from what I've seen ?

I love that colour, didn't realise you could spec your own RAL code.

Yeah, the damping feels a bit wooden at the moment!

Another one of mine from a slightly unusual angle - not sure I'd want to hang my DSLR out of the side of a Westy, but my son seemed happy enough to try it

Slightly shabby stainless silencer has now been replaced by a much more photogenic carbon jobbie :)

Spent a few hours on Sunday doing a few minor tidy up jobs on my Westfield, took a quick photo of the back end now it has had the spare wheel removed, and a new "powered by Ford" emblem added above the reversing lamp.  Very pleased with how it looks!
