Checked, both of my Westfields are exempt even though the XI is 'visual smoke' for MOT emissions - checker seems to be based on date of 1st registration, my last C Class was Euro 6 but because it was registered before Euro 6 was mandated it didn't count and I had to pay CAZ when we visited - since replaced with a PHEV. Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted May 26, 2023 Posted May 26, 2023 Double check, regs change etc. But last time I looked up all the various emissions based charging zones, all Westfields were effectively exempt due to the way they're tested and classified. That's not to say that won't change in the future, as IVA tests have been harvesting as-built emissions data for a few years now, but I don't think, currently, any of that data is used in away that affects us beyond compliance for the test itself. (Note that's for the UK only. I know the first time I did Le Mans five or so years ago, just in case we went near one, we did get the pre-paid French emissions restricted cartes, and we would have needed them had we entered a restricted zone) Quote

'exempt' is for special vehicles/Blue Badge holders that would otherwise have to pay the charge. Quote

We often forget just what fantastic little cars we have and how lucky we are to be able to own and drive one! I go into my garage every single day just to smell the eau de Westie. And it's such an intoxicating smell! Yummy! 3 Quote

Popular Post Glen_I Posted May 26, 2023 Popular Post Posted May 26, 2023 I feel I can finally add a picture justifiable for this thread..... Tax ran out in 2007 and it was used as an expensive storage system gather dust after being built by myself only 5 years previously to that. Used as our wedding car in 2004 and then the purchase of a house in need of love and attention in 2005 meant it was put to one side whilst we renovated the house, and then daughter no 1 followed by no 2 came along and finally I got my mojo back and here we are....she is reincarnated!!!!!! I'm biased but I absolutely love the blue and the photos do no justice for the actual colour 😎. Oh by the way, I still fit in the same Westfield Race seat (just about😅). MOT booked for a week tomorrow 🤞 14 Quote
