DIY-Si Posted May 20, 2023 Posted May 20, 2023 I had a lovely trip out planned to Bicester: loads of other toy cars, bacon sarnies, sunshine, maybe even an ice cream. That was not to be, but at least the recovery guy turned up with his matching truck and outfit on. 1 5 Quote

The newly fitted clutch slave (the work was only finished this morning) blew in quite short order. I suspect I know why, but basically in fixing one problem I think I've accidentally created a different one. 🤦🏼 Quote

I managed to knacker a slave cylinder when replacing my clutch by trying to be clever and bleeding the system before bolting it in. A proper face palm moment 😂 1 Quote

A proper face palm moment 😂 That, I believe, is exactly what I've done. Having re-aligned some of the clutch bits, and removed a spacer, I reckon I've created too much clearance for the slave and pushed it clear off the end. 🤦🏼 1 Quote
Spacedoggy Posted May 21, 2023 Posted May 21, 2023 Vivienne took to the sky this morning, courtesy of @Bellyboy. Spontaneous unplanned disassembly of the exhaust was narrowly avoided after discovery of a fatigued mounting bracket and fabrication of a replacement! Thanks Bud! 5 Quote
