Paul Baker - Bristol Bath and Cotswold AO Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Yes a great place, quite busy up there today as it looked like a bikers meet was happening. A nice GT3 came and parked next to me after I took that pic, some nice machinery up there to look at. I reckon an ideal destination/waypoint for some good blats… Quote
DIY-Si Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 A short notice trip to the Triumph Factory in Hinckley this morning for a Collecting Cars event. There was loads to see, with much more variety than I had expected. I even spotted a Westy hiding in the outer carpark too. The only negative thing about the whole trip was that I suspect it was more popular than the factory expected, and they'd run out of bacon by the time I wanted a bacon roll. A vegan sausage roll and a pastie just didn't cut it! I couldn't miss taking this photo, for the sense of scale if nothing else! A very full inner carpark, with the outer ones filling quickly. Opposite ends of the BMZ Z car scale. Some Old Skool Fords. Its always good to see GT40s! Really surprised to see not one, but two, Stratos reps appear together. 9 Quote

The experience section was open too, and free to wander round, as it's essentially a mini-Triumph museum. The factory tours were on too, but we didn't do that so I can't say if it's any good or not 1 Quote

Always a good sign of a place to meet and have a coffee etc Quote

Popular Post jonjh1964 Posted April 16, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 16, 2023 This morning 5 of us braved the changeable weather to visit Re:fuel (Malcolm & Dale in their Mini Van). We met up at Ilminster Services and after a spirited drive down the back roads of Somerset/Devon arrived just before 09:00 to be parked between an Aston Martin and two Bugattis by fellow WSSC member Colin @Haflingerman who was acting as parking attendant for the Crashbox Classic Car Club. Some photos of the Bugattis for interest. Return journey was hoods off as the rain had stopped..... 11 Quote

Popular Post Rob Hunter - Club Secretary Posted April 22, 2023 Popular Post Posted April 22, 2023 An impromptu meet up this morning at The Honey Pot cafe in Rosliston. Ian brought Bagpuss, Alex in the zetec, Tom and Lee in the megablade and Michael in the Fakerarri 👍 It's a great little cafe in South Derbyshire that do fabulous food. A nice sausage and egg sandwich on "doorstep" bread, not good for the power to weight ratio 😂 Had to get a cake photo just for @Julie Hall - WSCC AO Representative 😂 9 1 Quote
