scott_prelit now westfield_bumble Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Met a nice chap today with an Eleven. He'd previously had a speedsport and a gt40 which he sadly lost in a garage fire. 8 Quote
Popular Post Davemk1 Posted September 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 12, 2022 The weather in Montana, USA is slowly shifting toward fall and my race season is starting to wind down. Due to family issues I’ve not done as many race days as I have in years past but I have no complaints. So far I have 13 days of racing (with 4 more on the schedule) and I’m proud to say that I’ve set FTD (Fast Time of Day) on all 13 days. The car has been working so very well and the suspension changes (custom homemade ARB in front combined with the Siltech +35 widetrack A arms) has made it much easier to drive at the limit - particularly in high speed ‘flick’ moves that used to unsettle the rear. The car is just plain easier to drive now and the easier it is to drive, the faster you can go. Two of these photos show the car being raced in Billings, Montana where the next fastest car was a full-race Lotus Elan. The event is run in a very large parking lot that has great grip but is a bit gritty and dusty. The 3rd photo was taken yesterday morning in Helena, Montana not long after sun rise. The air is smoky from the large wildfires hundreds of miles to the west in Idaho and Washington State. Behind my car is a full race supercharged Atom and a Winston Cup Car made to look like a Pontiac Fiero (full tube chassis, carbon panels, mid mounted LS V8, Porsche transaxle, 600 hp) that is a true ground pounder. When it launches you can feel the ground vibrate. Four more days of racing - wish me luck in getting a full 100% FTD rate! dave 13 Quote

Stuart Davis AO - Devon Cornwall & Somerset Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 Not really a blat, more like a bimble around in the dark this evening but still fun. Car a little reluctant to start so I’m glad I gave it a spin. Topped up with some Esso Supreme 99. 9 Quote
Popular Post Pd2 Posted September 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 15, 2022 Weather's dry up here, so the car becomes my daily till the weather turns. On the backshifts this week, so finish at midnight. A bit chilli by that time but a wee run at night is enjoyable! Work car park is empty at this time, so good for photos! 15 Quote
Murraymint Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 We did 3000 miles around Europe in June without a hitch and then a few hundred miles round the west coast of Scotland and broke a cycle wing bracket....found a great guy in Largs who remove the bracket and welded it and back on the road....Scottish roads full of potholes... 7 Quote

Did you get any info on his engine details and how it fitted in without a bonnet bulge? I'm not sure about that rear wing though...not my cup of tea 😬! Quote

Very similar to my first Westfield. Mine was a black SE with red bench seats and proper clamshell wings. 2 Quote

If red any photos?, not got round to doing a photoshop mock up 😉 Quote
