Sunny and cold! Looking forward to winter days like this

Second week of Westfield ownership.  Been having fun tinkering with the interior (although not finding much time to clear out the garage).

 

Hopefully more exotic locales to follow shortly!  😀

We had our monthly local-area meeting last night; 7pm in a local pub.... nothing unusual, I thought. 

Except that I was the only one to turn up in a Westfield, which led me to suggest that we should re-name our branch the 'Comfortable Saloon Car Club' in recognition of the 80% of local members who prefer a roof and stereo.

 

However, when I got home at 10.30pm, freezing cold and driving this mud-smuggler, I thought that they might have a point:

Dads put more miles on his Westfield this last 6 months than he ever did in the last 5 years of ownership. Great to see the pinto engine getting some regular runs.

Picked this up last week after absence of ownership of 6years. The westy itch never left.

New carpet in and almost finished. Rather like the change of colour. Original colour wasn’t available anyway.. it had to change, it was very tired looking.

Probably it was last trackday this season on last sunday... 

 

 

 

Two seasons and every one trackday finished with no isssues...exept one - snapped wishbone bracket, always somewhere on podium . 

Only disappointment is that I cant take this car on the roads , drive with sons etc.  just for a trip.. but working on that

If someone is considering a straight cut gearbox for road better hear this

New half hood finally arrived and fitted!

 

Quick test drive this afternoon and all seems fine! Wouldn’t want to be much taller though!😄

Just needs and Aeroscreen, cage and 13” rims and it’ll be perfect Scott 😁
