I know yours is an engine swap, but I’m curious, given that the Duratec was a standard engine for a few years, why it doesn’t fit. It is close, particularly around the oil filler cap, but did go under a regular bonnet on the wide body cars. Is your engine further forward, or are you on a narrow chassis? Its the aerorace chassis which was designed to carry either a K series or early Zetec. The extra bracing gets in the way of dropping the gearbox down. I literally only need another 5mm clearance for it to fit. I decided getting a new body with a V8 bonnet (current body shows its 10 years of competition use) was a better idea than chopping the chassis up.
