Deffo put any seven type car away over winter,your chassis will thank you for it!🤣🫣

I really struggle to see why people use them over winter,you can't use their performance, your chassis and any bare steel parts go really rusty, the roads are way more dangerous in general, takes ages to wash them properly and try and protect them for going on a drive which is cold,wet and not enjoyable 🤷‍♀️

Totally agree. Also the worst is salt-water mist going on every smallest gap, micro cracks and porosity in paint ,  in welds and Inside chassis (not galvanized)  profiles. I use tectyl outside and Inside profiles but i'm aware that IT is nothing against salt.  Water ok,  but salt is evil !

I have recently purchased this race only Arrows/Westfield and have had 2 outings at the local Track in Perth Western Australia

Welcome! Blimey, I wasn't even sure there were any Westfields in Australia, great to know! I wonder how many other members we have out there? Hopefully there are some near to yourself.

In Australia, are the rules the same as in the UK? I mean, can one build a car in a garage and then get it approved through individual vehicle approval (according to certain rules, which are known), and that’s it? Or is it like in the EU, where one cannot build a car in a garage that can be used on public roads?

The rules vary slightly by state, with it generally being more difficult and involved than the UK but it is doable. I was building mine for use in Australia before moving back to the UK and the IVA seemed easy compared to requirements there...
