Got mine out ready for thrones car show tonight after work. Running late to work after little girls school assembly.
Not been out for 3/4weeks due to being away. Still cannot park for toffee lol

You're not bothered by the damp I see Stuart. What tyres are you running?

What do you do if it rains, just put rainwear on and carry on?

I used to quite like it in the rain as long as it wasn't too hard and I could keep moving. That was in an exoskeletal car though, easier to dry out.

Been out to a local pub meet this morning.  Wasn't popular as the exhaust blows all the dust in the car park, whoops !IMG_20250706_085023.thumb.jpg.c3926cf629ba86d64fdd08d92ed9c7a3.jpg

Not bothered about rain, unless is too hard. The tyres are R888R and are surprisingly good on the damp. The thing they don’t like is standing water when they can get quite lairy!

My side doors seal very well (rubber trim around the front and bottom edge), so I don’t get water spraying up into the car. I wasn’t expecting rain today so didn’t take my half hood or even a coat, was just in shorts and T shirt. It’s fine so long as you are moving, gets a little damp when you have to stop!

I go out in most weathers, salty roads are the main thing I avoid.

Yep, I find R888Rs very good in most conditions too. Never tried them in standing water but definitely wouldn't fancy that unless it's in a car park for handling practice 😁

I did, driving back from a meet once and it was ‘interesting’! Plenty of aquaplaning and just had to go slow.

Having almost written my car off in 2004 by a big aquaplane, I can't emphasise enough how lethal wide tyres and a very light car combination could be.
