Andrzej Posted Wednesday at 19:21 Posted Wednesday at 19:21 Looks like I’ve finished it !!! (well, still need to work on the corner weight, but I've set the rest of the geometry), but I’m almost afraid to say it (finished) ... because whenever I do, something turns out to need reworking and time flies. It has flown by so fast that I feel older and less eager for a machine that is definitely more extreme than the Westfields I used to drive. And now I don’t know if I’ll be able to ride it; it really seems fast (Honda CBR 1000RR, 192 horsepower, 129 Nm). After short run around home today, to bring temperatures to working area, check brakes etc.. brrrr it was sometimes scarry and loud, very loud (it has smal motocycle silencer ) 7 1 Quote
mega ade Posted Wednesday at 20:20 Posted Wednesday at 20:20 Looks like a weapon your never too old im 64 and drive the wheels off mine there's nothing like 13,500 rpm and a sequential gearbox and you have 10 horsepower more than me get out and enjoy it. 1 Quote
Andrzej Posted Wednesday at 21:02 Posted Wednesday at 21:02 Respect! I am 10 yrs younger but feel kind of "stiff" , and not so quick, and maybe overthinking all - what could go wrong (and knowing every part od it there is a lot in my imagination ) Maybe part of this is because there was so many fu..ups to manage building this car, no support at all from MNR, if managed to order some parts, got wrong ones , doble VAT, no MNR community like this Club and its Members. Sorry for that compliant but it is really shock from me entering kitrcar word with Westfield and it was soo easy thanks to this Community, lot of know how on internet, in that times support from Westfield parts shop. With MNR - other word. Good it was not my first kitcar. It would be the last for sure:) So many build-rebuild , custom parts, finding person for proper engine build... etc in this car that I need time to get some confidence to it. As for the revs - I ve heard full range while on dyno (thik it was 13k rop, max power at approx 12k), edit , found it : Quote

I'm same age but sold my BEC last year. I do miss it at times but I prefer my Zetec turbo Westie these days. And it's quicker than my GSX-R1000 BEC was. Had them both for a couple of years but someone made me an offer I'd have been stupid to turn down so the Exo BEC now has a very happy life in Cornwall 5 Quote

DeanMegaS2000 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I sold a 430kg Exo Busa powered BEC a couple years ago. The busa car I remember being insane. But I really need to do a track day at croft in the 7 to see which one I'm truly quicker in. The 7 is way more practical with a proper reverse and I feel much better taking the kids in the 7. I sold the exo as I just didn't feel comfortable taking the kids in it. I do miss the busa car, and I've another engine which I'm hoping maybe one day I'll build another one. 1 Quote

The original one made and I've never driven any kit that rides bumps so well. The handling was amazing and the sequential shift with a Flatshifter was just stupendous on the road. If I were a young man still I'd have kept it for ever. 2 Quote
