A few pics from my run today, just a short one 200mls.  Up and over The Rest and be Thankful to Colintraive then a ferry over to Isle of Bute and after lunch a ferry back to Wemyss Bay and home via Ayrshire. 😊

Last time I went over Rest and Be Thankful was in a gale on my motorbike. At one point the wind picked me up and dropped me 2ft to the right. Or that's what it felt like. And that was in August IIRC

Sounds about right.

 

It was open today, but last week I had to use the relief road for the first time. 

It really is a National disgrace that the issues there haven't been sorted by now and an Alpine style tunnel installed. The locals must dread heavy rainfall.

Nice 80 miles this morning to the Lent monthly meet. Great turnout. Met some kent sevens too 👍🏼

Fitted a new air filter today. It's a bit smaller than the old one...

 

 

Now I have a gap to fill! 😂

Got a new home for the car over the weekend, put it up yesterday. I'm looking forward to being able to more easily complete the engine swap and do other tinkering in less-than-ideal weather. Have to see whether any condensation results. Hopefully with the vents it won't, but I can always zip on some fans to the mesh to give airflow. 

Cleaning the drive where the tent was to go did highlight how badly the rest also needs jet washing 😁

I’ve got relatives just round the corner from there so I’ve regularly walked along the front at Maldon, never seen a Westfield there before! Nice place on a sunny day

Thanks Paul - it’s a lovely part of Essex and was a perfect day for a drive out. The car attracted plenty of attention making it quite difficult to get the photos 😊
