Craigieboy Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 A few pics from my run today, just a short one 200mls. Up and over The Rest and be Thankful to Colintraive then a ferry over to Isle of Bute and after lunch a ferry back to Wemyss Bay and home via Ayrshire. 😊 Could really do with Rob to make the pictures pop... Arran in the background Rothesay Bay and the hills on the mainland I'd driven through to get there 8 Quote
Stuart Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Last time I went over Rest and Be Thankful was in a gale on my motorbike. At one point the wind picked me up and dropped me 2ft to the right. Or that's what it felt like. And that was in August IIRC 2 Quote
Craigieboy Posted September 27, 2024 Posted September 27, 2024 Sounds about right. It was open today, but last week I had to use the relief road for the first time. It really is a National disgrace that the issues there haven't been sorted by now and an Alpine style tunnel installed. The locals must dread heavy rainfall. 2 Quote

Only so much I can play with as they're low resolution downloading from here (look grainy when I try and crop them etc) but here goes... Before: After: 3 1 Quote

GaryD1971 Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Fitted a new air filter today. It's a bit smaller than the old one... Now I have a gap to fill! 😂 3 Quote

eggontoast Posted October 2, 2024 Posted October 2, 2024 Got a new home for the car over the weekend, put it up yesterday. I'm looking forward to being able to more easily complete the engine swap and do other tinkering in less-than-ideal weather. Have to see whether any condensation results. Hopefully with the vents it won't, but I can always zip on some fans to the mesh to give airflow. Cleaning the drive where the tent was to go did highlight how badly the rest also needs jet washing 😁 7 Quote

Paul Baker - Bristol Bath and Cotswold AO Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Car looking great @MJS71 I’ve got relatives just round the corner from there so I’ve regularly walked along the front at Maldon, never seen a Westfield there before! Nice place on a sunny day 1 Quote
MJS71 Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Thanks Paul - it’s a lovely part of Essex and was a perfect day for a drive out. The car attracted plenty of attention making it quite difficult to get the photos 😊 1 Quote
Popular Post Naranja_Al Posted October 4, 2024 Popular Post Posted October 4, 2024 Making the most of the nice weather. Not sure how many more opportunities we’ll get this year now… 12 Quote
