If you were really determined you could always remove the passenger seat and properly fix an ISOFIX car set in its place with a small bit of fabrication.  Might look rubbish but at least in an impact they will be held in place.

The problem is that ‘normal’ sized car seats are too wide, the 4-point harnesses will hold them on place it’s more about being over see over the dash!
