Terry Everall Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Ben and Graham Just curious to know why you have not joined the Westfield Speed Series as you drive a Westfield Megabusa? 1 Quote
Castlecroft Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 It’s a stock unmodified road going car, nothing against the speed series but with our limited budget we would not be anywhere close to the other competitors who throw tons of money at their cars...... whilst winning is not everything, having a ‘chance’ of a result keeps the motivation going.... But mainly, we competed in the Prescott new barns for the last two years, with our future looking towards a single seater - hence we see that the midland speed is a more natural progression. happy to have a chat at Anglesey..... Castlecroft Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Hi Terry, either R888’s in SG or Avon ZZS dependant on conditions ... both list 1B Quote
Terry Everall Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 You would be in our class F and even a standard Busa will go well against other class F cars (even though they may be on ZZR tyres) Give me a call to discuss? Terry 07767836234 1 Quote

Plenty of stock Busa around in the speed series even when on slicks. I think you will find that you are either misinformed or missing out. The comradery from other like minded owners is something else 1 Quote

Terry 07767836234 As you are well aware, there was only two cars in class F last year... mick skidmore, and the series winner, John who also settled all the records (well, most) of the current venues... How an standart unmodified busa with toyos will be any good against john's car with ZZR super soft? And who will drive to actually be any near to johns times? Shall we ask to Mr Hamilton to come and accept the challenge? 1 Quote

Shall we ask to Mr Hamilton to come and accept the challenge? It doesn't matter what John or anyone else did last year. This is a new year and the scores are all currently zero. The most points will be awarded to the person who records the quickest time for their respective class this year. Who knows even if John is even coming out again this year? Quote
maurici Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Even if john is not going out, They would still be scoring against johns time records, isnt it? Its unrealistic to tell them that they will do well with toyos in their class... as they will be galaxies away from the tt. Nobody is happy to see an 85% (random number just invented) in their score... 1 Quote
Terry Everall Posted March 5, 2018 Posted March 5, 2018 Previously Adam, yourself and my brother Stephen looked at the difference between list 1B and 1C tyres and came up with figures about 3.5% difference not 15% as you suggest Maurici. All competitors compete against class records and its not easy in any class including G and H Quote
