Seems my last message has not been posted...?

I NEED YOUR HELP TO FIND AN SEiW.  I chatted with you all a while ago (WHICH WAS A GREAT HELP) about buying my first Westy, and got some good info, but I can't find what I want. WHY?

Firstly, I've got £8500 plus or minus a bit...  ALL THAT LOVELY CASH COULD BE YOURS FOR THE RIGHT CAR, and this is what I want...

- SEiW (it must be)

- 130 reliable bhp (it is to be an every day car)

- Type 9 gearboc (75 is to big)

- sorted electrics...(e.g. the rev counter works when the heater is on)

- cycle wings

- sorted weather gear ('water tight';)

- high back seats if poss

- floor mounted pedal if poss

- Tidy body

That's about it...  Can you help?

For 8500 surely someone would part with a nice sorted VX or 1.8 Zetec at this time of year?

try findit.com or try the for sale section.

Else,

Buy a "old" SEiW with say an X-Flow then after 1 posting and 3 days of dsicussion on upgrade "vx vs zetec" flaming you'd have a vvv nice car for the money you're looking at.

or ask Neville Bull how much his 2.0 CVH engine from Ferriday cost?

BTW have you joined WSCC yet?

8.5 large (more likely just over 9) will get you a sorted seiw with a zetec/VX engine in it, surprised you haven't found anything you like thus far...

just to add if your spending that sort of money stick to the VX/Zetec's (poss BEC) you'll only want to upgrade anything else to that level....

Two things:

1.

As the chaps have said, £8.5k is looooooaaads to be spunking out and should get you a whole whack more than 130 brake. Do make sure you hang out for a 16v lump too.

2.

- SEiW (it must be)

Don't worry, the WSCC embraces fat knackers.  ;)
