Hi All,

Just a quick one:

Which class would this car fall into?

1800cc K series

Quaife straight cut box

Yoko A048R (Medium compound)

Looks like class C to me

Yokos A048 are throwing yourself out of the roadgoing clases.

So It will be road based with 1C tyres up to 1800... i think this will be class  "C"

Would some AR1's put it back in the road class?

Yes.

In that case you would be in A1 as long as your quife isn't a "dog box".

No its a normal H pattern.

Dog boxes can be h pattern, the “dogs” are a way of locking the gears together,  instead of synchromesh, on the gear changes, you’re thinking of sequential boxes, which it’s true, are usually dog boxes, too.

True.

In fact... as a dog box... I allways think in an H pattern gearbox with  a "Crabot/Dog" sincro system.

A secuential... is a secuential, regardless of the sincro system is using. :p
