Thrustyjust Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Thread for the presents you didnt really think was possible or obscure........... For me this year was a bottle of 'Elvis' aftershave ...................... blokes been dead most of my life. Why the hell , I needed such a putrid smelling potion ? . I would use it as drain cleaner, but I dont want the house drains to stink of it. For my birthday from the same person, I got a limited edition steam locomotive pen knife.................................. really..................... just dont ask................. 2 Quote

DonPeffers Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 Could have been worse ie. aftershave by F C U K or Diesel. I hadn't heard of the Elvis aftershave (he died Aug 1977) but its not cheap from what I've found. If a problem develops with cats using the lawn as a latrine then the Elvis potion may ward them off. DonPeffers Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 With a multitude of cats around here I might just need the potion to ward the blighters off; I'll let you know Justin. Cheers. Quote
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 I got a jumper from my father in law, thought that looks familiar. Same one he got me a couple of years ago. 6 Quote
DonPeffers Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 When I first read the post under the Activity banner (without the picture) I wondered if it was literally the same jumper you had received ie. you had given it back to him some time later as his present and now it was coming back to you. Worth a try? Quote

SootySport Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 I have the answer to inappropriate or unwanted gifts, pass them on to another family member or friend later in the year for birthdays or indeed another Christmas. At your peril of course. Quote
Robin Parker (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO Posted December 26, 2017 Posted December 26, 2017 I could give him them back, one for his birthday and one for next Christmas. He'll never know. Quote

Thrustyjust Posted December 31, 2017 Author Posted December 31, 2017 Well, Mrs TJ has decided on 'moving' furniture, so that means shelves moving, pictures swopping around and shredding years of stuff and behold.................. I thought we had binned the 'limited edition steam locomotive pen knife' . But ( I am sure you cant wait for this) , we hadnt. It was refound in a cupboard we cleared out yesterday. Behold the present you have always wanted ( cash and paypal accepted) It is currently safely placed in a rubble sack ........................... Quote
