Scotty72 Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 So I've got a few things to sort out on the Mega s2000 over the next few weeks and the main thing is the occasional sticking throttle. When pressing the accelerator lightly and then releasing, the throttle remains open slightly at around 2000rpm. Blipping the throttle returns the engine to idle and likewise when pressing the accelerator fully and then releasing, the engine returns to normal idle. I have removed the mats, checked the pedal and cable moves freely and also turned the throttle linkage by hand which also moves freely without any noticeable sticking and always returns to the fully closed position. What else could it be? Quote
Thrustyjust Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Have you got the standard inlet or Omex throttle bodies ? Quote
Thrustyjust Posted December 19, 2017 Posted December 19, 2017 Disconnect the throttle cable and check the actuation of the throttle body is closing correctly. Usually the IACV that controls idle , if it has an issue, stalls. If you have the standard cable , then get a tandem mountain bike stainless brake cable and it should sort out the issues. Quote
