Kevin (Mr T) Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 I am in the process of selling this on Ebay on behalf of my brother. It is a Team Sky bike from the 2012 Tour de France, marked up for Sir Bradley himself and signed by Dave Brailsford. There is also a certificate of authenticity. I have been asked if it was used at the Tour and the honest answer is, I don't know. I can confirm that it is a beautiful bike. Jim bought it to ride and has done so regularly for the last three years, so there are some marks as visible in the photo of the derailleur mechanism. With his 70th birthday approaching, he wants to move it on, being steadier on his Scott MTB. The original DuraAce wheels have been replaced with Cosmic carbon rims and the frameset, groupset and wheels/tyres alone would cost circa £5k now and would not have that little bit of history attached to them. It's up for £4950 plus carriage, but I would consider offers in the region of £4500 on here, if anyone is interested. If you want any detailed information on the bike, let me know and I will find out at the first opportunity. Quote
Thrustyjust Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Thats a lot of bike and sadly I dont have the same frame or posture as Sir Bradley, as would be made for him to fit. Try on Cycling Weekly , thats another place to try and sell 1 Quote
Thrustyjust Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Kevin, you will need to take measurements off the frame , such as top tube height , which is from the centre of the crank to the top of the top tube in front of the seatpost . Also the length of the top tube , from the centre of the seatpost to the centre of the steerer tube. You will need to log the handlebar stem length and also the handlebar width, which is usually etched on it. I always take a measurement on my bikes to get them the same of the nose of the saddle to the centre of the handlebars where it meets the stem. This will give more info for selling it , as it is very precision when you get to high end bikes !! Quote

Any questions, just ask !! I know that on cycling forums ' selling for a mate' usually means the item has warm tendencies. So, to not have information a potential customer would be looking for also rings alarm bells. Just sayin' . Quote
