Fitted Westfield cover for open trailer

Looks like I may have to get rid of my covered trailer for now as I may be purchasing a Radical, my current trailer only has access to the rear so getting straps on the front wheels of a Radical would be nearly impossible, on top of that I think I'll be over weight for the trailer with the radical as my trailer has been down rated to 1235kg GTWR due to my licence restrictions (no B&E). So all said I think I may need to move to an open trailer to keep under the weight restrictions and for ease of securing both Westfield and Radical. The radical already has a fitted cover so that's on issue out of the way, but I will need one for transporting the westfield, mainly to keep it dry in the cockpit area. Spec is Very wide rear arches, full roll cage, aeroscreen. ZK bodywork, can anyone recommend a cover for such purpose that would fit my car?

Had a look and they look okay, but don't want button fasteners on my bodywork. I think I would prefer a storm cap, found one on softbits, but it's designed for a car with a windscreen. I doubt if that would stay put over about 30mph, and if it did it would flap about so badly your gel coat on the bodywork would be damaged. I've only ever seen one towable fitted cover, and it was a close fitting, heavy waterproof fabric thing with a soft liner.

My solution to the problem was just to make the interior water resistant.. no carpets or squidgy seats. If it gets wet, dry it off with a towel, and away we go.

Fair point! Maybe a cover only attached to the roll cage would work? I'm not looking for something that is going to keep it bone dry, just don't want to be swimming inside my car. Plus I don't really trust the savage dash switches to be very waterproof either.

Unless you get a tight fit to the bodywork, I reckon under wet towing conditions, you'd still get loads of water in the car. A tonneau cover would do the job, or just leave it open and get some holes drilled in the floor.

Agreed. Easier and more effective to let water out than stop it getting in!

My savage (and earlier rocker) dash switches have survived torrential and even biblical rain without issues.

Just drill holes in the seats and floor and your sorted

Everytime I put my car in the trailer the heavens open. As others have said just let it get wet and dry after. Can you not alter your current trailer to do both
