Great day out

I managed a great day out today. Fantastic weather and still surprisingly warm. A rare chance just to get out on my own and I managed just short of 100 miles. Headed to the North Cornish coast and stopped at Widemouth bay for lunch.728A6A3F-12AA-4F73-8D1A-14494431672A.thumb.jpeg.1d460e5792d345f87aef84508ec1c0f1.jpeg

then on the coast road to Crackington Haven and a stop on the cliff top8E5E69BD-A0ED-497D-8D47-615F42E812D3.thumb.jpeg.c68bab624476afa7d7e03309d7b96135.jpeg

then on to Boscastle, Tintagel and the B road blast back to home. All cleaned and ready for the next run out.D1065F03-9F25-4C61-89CE-69A21083F6FA.thumb.jpeg.45f9f4324896ec13b842deb6bff2624d.jpeg

So far since September I’ve managed 800 miles which I think is great for this time of year. No plans to SORN it yet!

Car looks fab. I stayed at a bed and breakfast place on the beach at Crackington. Is it still there ? I met Chris Goffey from Top gear fame , who stayed at the same time.

Yes I think it’s still there. It’s a great little place with a nice cafe next to the bridge and fantastic steep roads either side one which is 30%!

Fantastic.

As long as there's no salt on the roads (and I can't imagine Cornwall getting much) you could be out all thru the winter---just need winter jacket, gloves, hat , Helly Hansen thermal vest, heater.

On second thoughts I am talking about Scottish winter runs and you'll be fine in Cornwall
