I think one of the big variables is how the car is built and what it ends up weighing. I have a 2014 S2000 and have made efforts to bring the weight down and it's now 575 kg.....combine that with the added power gained with the Omex throttle bodies (added 20 hp and 15 ft/lbs to the stock set up - making for 221 hp at the wheels or roughly 255 hp at the crank) and you end up with a very aggressive power to weight ratio.

Of course to get to that weight I'm using an aeroscreen, no luggage tray, carbon front fenders...etc....so it's no longer suited to touring with gear but on the track it's a real machine.

On track  lightweight BECs such as a hayabusa, honda CBR 1000rr fire blade or a yamaha R1 are pretty ballistic and much cheaper than a modified car engine. The cars range from say 400Kgs to 480 Kgs and even in standard form put out around 170 bhp at the rear wheels.( busa is more) They do have relatively little torque ( blade has around 70 ft lbs but revs to about 14000rpm!

They can also outbrake a CEC

They are a bit frantic on the road

Hi Dave

I too own a Mega S2000. Does the omex throttle bodies make a good improvement?

I have the standard Honda inlet.

I like them very much. More power, more torque, much quicker throttle response, a good bit lighter and they sound really cool!

Bought mine for 80 percent track 20 percent road..duratec with 230bhp goes well and always options for more power if I want to get my wallet out!

Biggest improvement needed now is my driving! But I am enjoying the learning.. On the road is ok but to be honest not so much fun with aeroscreen...

Not part of your shortlist but my C20XE has 185bhp and 168ft lbs of torque.  If you want to overtake, just put your foot on the gas. Acceleration is excellent whichever gear you happen to have to hand.
