XTR2Turbo Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 I saw it at the revival yesterday. I have to say it looks a bit better in the flash than the photos but I was still disappointed by the styling. A bit of a cross between MX5 and GT86. I can't see many TVR DNA elements. Having owned three TVRS and 1 from new I had been following with interest. I think I will wait for now. I spoke with someone at the show that said they had taken more deposits on the day so hopefully it proves a success. I like that it is manual, V8 and fairly light. Disappointed that it has electric power steering though. I think some will be disappointed that no convertible yet. It was good though to see the TVR logo around the revival in lots of places. It will be good if they enter LeMans again too. David 1 Quote
jeff oakley Posted September 9, 2017 Posted September 9, 2017 Over on PH some have been playing with photoshop and just a simple set of BBS wheels has transformed the side view. I think the car is designed to appeal to a more broad market. Buying a car that might kill you made them a "proper car" this has safety in mind and as a result it will appeal to people who do want bells and whistles. I hope it does well otherwise as taxpayers, we have pumped a huge chunk into the set up for nothing. Quote
Sparkymart Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I didn't realize it was designed along with Gordon Murray but I don't think it will ever be in the same league as the McLaren F1 Which he also designed .but from what I've seen of it so far it gets a thumbs up from me Quote
