yes i have seen that nice looking car and looks well sorted but have decided to get a seight when i can find the right car

The XE was as good as I could get it. Loads of upgrades over 17 years, but I was running out of ideas. Then a mate was selling his V8. Rover 3.5 on SU's, no synchro on second, but apart from that a fabulous car in great condition. Twin side exhausts, fantastic. 2,000 miles around Scotland in the "summer". So I've bought a 3.9 efi engine, ready to swap over the winter, need a new project and this is it. Will rebuild the gearbox, surprisingly cheap, and back on the road early next year.

So hold out for a V8, Wooders, you won't regret it. Yes, I like it.
