What a shame      :D

Watched Clarkson in Holland the other night - great photo of one that had been filled with expanding foam from an aerosol  :D  :D  :)  :D  :)  :D  :)  :D      ;)

Spotted one not tooooo far from me that had been set fire to using an old tyre.

Obviously as law abiding citizens - I'm sure non of us condone this kind of irresponsible criminal act    ;)  :D

No speed cameras in the West Mercia police area now, but I heard yesterday that they have just signed up to the option to trouser the loot from cameras, so us South Midlands guys can expect proliferation very soon.  B*****ds

YES!!!! POWER TO THE PEOPLE WHO BOMB CAMERAS!!!!

ahem

A good well done to that chap :p  :D

A spray can of paint is quite sufficient  ;)  ;)

As soon as the cost of cleaning the cameras exceeds the revenue from fines the Treasury will shut them down  :D  :D

And another 'Stealth Tax' will bite the dust  :arse:  :arse:

I had some fun last night when someone who had cut me up earlier in the journey went speeding past me through roadworks on the A12 doing roughly twice the limit.  As he rounded the next bend I accidently hit my flash twice and then watched him almost lock up under breaking...ooohhh I chuckled :D

Little bit excessive but at least the job got done !!   :D

Hows this work then, are their some gaps you can spray the foam into?

Sound like a top idea, bit of extra revenue for B&Q. :D  :D  :D rather they had £5 than the Gov. had £60 + me getting 3points. More direct action. :D    :D    :p  :p  :p

A couple of years ago now the Lincolnshier authorities decided to install cameras all along the A17 route from Newark to Kings Lynn. Rumour has it that for the first year or so they could not afford to even wire the units, let alone load them with film. Any way there's one particular camera that is positioned in a spot that could not be more annoying. On the Leasingham bypass, ( a brand new road, skirting the village), they have installed a camera halfway down a mile long straight after a mile long curved single lane crawler section. All traffic bunches up here after tailing farm traffic and lorries for a mile or so and as soon as it opens up into a 4 lane wide road, voila , bl**** Triffid in the road.

Well someone other than me must have taken exception to this one as the next time I passed it the head of the unit was lying upside down on the grass verge .

Someone had decapitated it with an oxyacetylene kit :D  :D  :D  :D

The image of a pickup truck parked alongside this monstrosity, dispatching it with a burning kit will stay with me for ever

I know a man that claimes to know a man that still sawed the head unit off the one on the A46 near Swallow he was going to take it home as a trophy but decided against it in case it had a tracking beacon in it so pit in a ditch.

I've seen some excellent vandalism of cameras on the way to work in Cambridge. On the A505 between Royston and Duxford, the camera there was cut off with a welding torch (nice), while on the A10 Melbourn by-pass, I am sure I saw scorch marks at the base of one. Maybe a fire-work inside the drain-hole. Also saw what looked like the rather extreme action of someone running the Ashwell A505 camera over in their car once.

I still like the Dutch idea of spraying expanding foam into the drainage hole so that they fill up with water -- makes me chuckle

If it makes any of you feel less persecuted, I have to drive past eight cameras on the way to and from work each day. AND I got done with one of those portable swines last year

God bless them all

Drive careful now

That camera must be the most vandalised in Northants - it hasn't been operative - (seemed to have been set on fire as well as painted)for about 12 months and it was only working for about two months then after someone pushed it over :0
