Before I spend £250+ on a Tom Tom rider - can anyone recommend a sat nav app for my iPhone? Ideally one that can follow a preplanned route and (ideally) have the same functionality as the rider, where you tell it you want to go x miles in y direction and it makes you a nice twisty route?

Actually....google maps might work, as long as I don't get caught in the rain...

Main issue with satnav apps on the iPhone (in my experience) is the inability to load in waypoints or gpx (etc) data files due to Apple's ridiculously tight restrictions on what can and can't be copied into "their" device.
