The Cheese Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Can anyone tell me what wheel spacers to buy please just bought eibach spacers but the disc won't go over the top of them and also anyone know what the back strut setup is i.e. Ford it's 2012 fw zetec Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Not sure exactly what you mean by back strut setup? On an independant rear suspension car, the rear uprights/wishbone arrangement is pure Westfield in design, and common to nothing else, this includes the rear spring/damper set up. If you mean back space, then this varies I'm afraid between different year cars. Quote
Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Why are you trying to put the spacers on over the discs by the way? Is this some special feature unique to Eibach? if so it's going to screw up everything on the rear brakes, as they'd need custom mounts making - NOT that I'm recommending that. If this is the only way the spacers fit, I'd suggest you've been given the wrong ones. Spacers normally slip or bolt over the top of the disc and are the las thing to go on the hub before the wheel... Quote
The Cheese Posted August 2, 2017 Author Posted August 2, 2017 Don't explain it correctly the spacer goes on the hub then the disc goes back over that as if it were on the hub only thing is diameter of internal disc is 135mm spacers are bit too big for disc to fit over Quote
Yanto Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Can you put a photograph up of what the problem is? this is how they are normally, although you will have studs rather than bolts. Quote
The Cheese Posted August 2, 2017 Author Posted August 2, 2017 I was trying to put them in side the disc not outside as in your picture Quote
Yanto Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 As Dave said, if you do that you screw up the caliper spacing for the disc, i suspect if you put the disc on first then the spacer all will fit ok, give it a try Quote
The Cheese Posted August 2, 2017 Author Posted August 2, 2017 I'm glad I have you lot on hand or I would be pulling my hair out now thanks guys , maybe eibach ought to put instructions in for divis like me 2 Quote

Dont worry! That's where the club and threads like these come in 1 Quote
