Westyjay Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Hi all, westy not been used in 8 years due to busy life , just looking at her and I cannot get a brake peddle even after bleeding , no leaks showing I guess master cylinder rubbers perished, it looks like an old mk1 fiesta type one supplied from Westfield when I built it with yellow warning light plug on cap. is there a repair kit or a replacement , not interested in paying £100's for uprated one just same what I had from new , any idea thanks in advance jamie Quote
6carjon Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I expect it is this one from Westfield http://parts-shop.westfield-sportscars.co.uk/brakes-calipers-discs?product_id=84 at £185. you can sometimes pick them up from the for sale section if you check. Here is one not sure on seal kits someone else might be able to advise the right kit. Quote
1960dave Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 I had the same problem but as I didnt like the modified Escort pedal box went for a complete floor mounted peddle box with bias adjustment master cylinders and pots for £225 from compbrake Quote
jim_l Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Recon kits from - pastparts .co.uk I have bought and used one for the standard girling tandem cylinder, there is also a recent post with pics of the internals etc. Part number will be on the underside of the cylinder just to confirm. Quote
Matta Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Pastparts part number is 17-1032, £23.13 +VAT and postage. I bough one recently. Cheers, Matt 1 Quote
