When was last (UK) production use of the Xflow..?

Been trying to google this and been struggling to narrow it down anymore than between '73 and '84...

Mr Grumpy was first registered in 1992, but how old might his engine be..?

Lets assume the Xflow came from a UK production donor car (not a South Africa, South America donor).

What is the youngest the engine could be? So I can figure out an approx engine age opposed to the registration age.

The two letters at the start of the engine number will give you month and year of the engine build, these are in table form in Burtonpower.com website

His block is stamped with an RU, which looks up to be Oct 1975.

So I make that 42 years young.

My word..! He is lasting well :d

Everything of 1975 vintage lasts well :)
