graham frankland Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 Hi Bunje Yes Class F I understand is the correct Speed Series class but this class allows cars configured to either Road Going or Modified standards We may have to double check the MSA Licence you need depending on which way you decide to configure your car! Terry Everall Posted July 27, 2017 Posted July 27, 2017 The cars i class F need to be in a road legal condition capable of passing MOT etc. However they can run on 1A,1B or 1C tyres. On the day classes would mean that if you run 1C tyres you will need to tun in Modified specialist production cars where other competitors will be running slicks. You need to have an MOT , Insurance and tax if you run in a Road Going class on 1A or 1B tyres. If you run 1C tyres and run in the mod prod class you do not have to bother with MOT , insurance or road tax as long as you get a Vehicle Passport for the car Quote

graham frankland Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Hi Bunje If you are running under Road Going Regs in our Class F the Non Race National B MSA Licence should be OK! I have been advised that if you were running under Modified Regs with your turbo taking you over 2000cc it MAYBE you would have needed to have a National A Licence! If you would like to text me your address to 07887 554361 I am happy to send you my disc of the 2017 MSA Blue Book Regs if it helps? It will give you some idea of the framework of the Regs to run motorsport in the UK but they are very wordy and somewhat difficult to understand in some areas! Look forward to meeting up with you! XTR2Turbo Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Bunje Don't worry about being in F as a new competitor. I am a novice but run in F as I have a sequential box. F used to be an expert class but this year there were novice target times in F so you aren't really at any disadvantage. Most important is to get out, learn the ropes and see if you like it. Graham (Glutey) This is not correct. You do not need a national A for any production catagory, only for Sports Libre and Racing car catagories if over 2000cc. 2 Quote

Kingster Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 Ta. The fixings are the rubber captive rivnut things so that it can be easily removed for road use. Placed them on the lower edges so you can’t really see anything when removed. Quote
