Curborough and The Lazy Trout, Sat 15th July, 10.30am

It's the Breakfast Club Meet at Curborough this Saturday, from 8.30am until 11.30am.

We will be there from about 10.30am for tyre kicking and bacon butties. At about 11.30 ish we will be going to The Lazy Trout, nr Leek, for lunch. It is a 1 hour 10 minute journey through some of the best Peak District countryside. The view over The Roaches from the beer garden is stunning, but the best news is that the indirect road to it has been resurfaced, it is the lovely, pothole-less black stuff that Westfield owners can normally only dream about.

So bring your hairy legs, put them between my camera lens and your car, and we will see what happens!!! (you need to look at the last Curborough gathering photo's for a warm up, prepare yourself)

Who is coming?

Crikey, brill, you're keen Dave, I am only just putting it on the calendar and you have responded!!! :t-up: Lets hope your car is back then, that's one set of hairy legs, any more coming?

The sluggish response from @IanK is either due to him being busy at work OR him being busy shaving his hairy legs

Which reminds me, I must get on

It's the MEV annual 'fun day' as they call it at Curborough on Saturday too,so if you like the creations of Mills Extreme Vehicles they will be on track :)

Oh no, that is the worst news ever in the world. Glen absolutely loves those cars, this could be a very expensive day out. The main lady there is called Julie and they seem a friendly and approachable lot.

How much then, for someone to keep Glen busy talking Westfields all morning? Name your price :)

Sorry I can't join you on this one, as I'll be elsewhere that day. Have a good one.

At the moment we're planing a trip to Blenheim Palace on Saturday so probably won't make this one. we've some tickets then need to be used by the end of the month so time is running out and this looks like the only opportunity. Sorry to miss it as it looks a good day out.

Richard from Omex dropped the car back this evening, so I can stop staring at an empty spot of drive again, and more to the point will be able to get my short, fat hairy legs over there!

It has rained, it is raining and it has forecast rain, so we are not going today. The rain is not heavy and we would normally risk it, especially with the MEV's being there, but the car is all packed up and this forms part of our journey on our holiday's. Not a day to prolong the travel in the wet.

Please don't let my decision affect yours and if you go have a great day. We will go to The Lazy Trout some other time, when the sun is shining and hopefully some of the people that couldn't make today will be able to join us.
