After my trip to Le Mans in the Westy Which I managed to get most of our gear onto/into ,but we did have a tin top Go down with us and he carried the extra stuff. So with Silverstone fast approaching we are doing a solo trip up from Cornwall. I've started looking at extra storage spaces . I'm currently working on a shelf over the rear diff as I've got one of the AA composites boot box's I've got easy access to that area . Also inside the spare wheel.i don't have much room behind the dash or in front of the scuttle .I also made a last minute MK 1 luggage rack for Le Mans which helped so if anyone has any other trips for storage please let me know

Between my seats I have a cooler bag which has my day to day bits and bobs in it. It fits perfectly behind my handbreak. I alway put a cloth inside under the lid so that it's soft and the bag makes a brilliant armrest on long trips.

i also have a tunnel bag and I also put things on top of the tunnel bag

The cool bag is a good idea I also have a storage net bag thing  in between the seats already as for the tunnel bag I've already got to large pocket which I had but on to the tunnel carpet when I replaced the interior

I am also able to put a few things in bags under the front of my seat and also a few things behind my knees and also the passengers knees if need be.

Do you have any room in the engine bay, I've seen a couple with a bike engine and they keep 2 camping chairs in there!

I'll have a look at them when I see at Silverstone if that's ok. Are you camping?

Cool, will come and say hello at some stage

I made a board which fits over the boot box. I cut slots to take ratchet straps and used a large Northface bag to store everything in. The spare wheel is removed and the rack is used for tent, two folding chairs and two camp beds.

I will be camping at Silverstone. Pop over be happy to show you.

Do you carry a tyre puncture kit? I did think the same thing about removing the spare but that's the time I'd get a puncture

When I remove the spare I carry a small electric pump and and a plugging kit. Sometimes you can get a slow puncture and pumping it up until you get home will suffice.
