Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway. Lake District.

This is a lovely railway that we visited last year.

Plenty of parking at Ravenglass and you can also walk on the beach.

Nice walks around the area and also plenty of history.

WORD OF WARNING.

The beach is tidal and it blocks your exit when the tide comes in. Make sure you watch the tide tables.

Great food in the cafes at either end of the line and everything is reasonably priced.

The railway is only 7 miles long so its a 14 mile round trip.

The train ride is great and there are a couple of very nice camp sites near the line too.

Fabulous memories...
