1960dave Posted June 11, 2017 Posted June 11, 2017 As Dave said in the latest Westfield World I'm going to fit a mk1 mr2 engine in my low line. Well it has started test fitted the engine today and made the engine mount brackets. It's tight but so was the cross flow but I have about 20mm space to the bonnet and everything is level so it's going to come out again to dress the motor up and maybe convert to hydrolic clutch using a mini slave cylinder. Oh and I might have got a spare engine as well. 1 Quote

I won't be going back to the car for a fortnight as i'm taking my girls to London next weekend. However i'm going to look into a hydraulic clutch tomorrow using the Toyota arm but need to spesk to RAW regarding that. After seeing someone else's narrow car i'm also going floor mounted pedal box as I hate the look of the Escort one currently fitted. I have a Omex 200 ecu that has been mapped already for a AW11 engine crank pulley machined with trigger wheel on ts and air temp sensor to fit and a zetec coil. 1 Quote
corsechris Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 Looking good! It's more work and expense, but it looks like you might be able to shift the engine/gearbox back a good few inches there? Worthwhile if you can I think. Quote
Captain Colonial Posted June 12, 2017 Posted June 12, 2017 One of my favourite MR2 conversions from the 24 Hours of Le Mons Series in the States - a twin engine MR2: http://blog.caranddriver.com/lemons-goodbad-idea-of-the-week-twin-engined-toyota-mr2corolla/ Quote
