Another New Sport 250 Owner

Hi All, This has been a dream of mine for a very long time and after a aborted attempt to buy a S2000 a few years ago I have finally got the money and put a deposit down on a sport 250. Once I have decided on the colour I will be making the next payment. The rest of the options were easy I have basically gone for the demo car with a half roll cage and no anti-roll bars and carbon wings - all of which I will be revisiting again once I have built the car, and maybe a bit more cash.

I went for the ecoboost in the end as I wanted a engine still in active production (for cheaper parts when I break something) plus there seems to be loads of development still being done around it. Though as a former 2004 Civic Type-R owner the the VTEC was a big draw to me.

I do intend to start a build thread but I suspect it will turn into a container for my poor spelling and random questions  

But I am really stuck on the colour for the car, I'm thinking about the Red, electric Blue or Orange, the Orange Toybox FW car at Stoneliegh with the carbon strip did grab me. If anyone can point me at photos of the electric blue V8 bonnet with FW rear that are not on the net or in Facebook I would greatly appreciate it.

I in St Neots, Cambridgeshire and I hope to get to some meets in the area soon and get more involved now I've got a car on the boil.

Orange and black, red and black white and black all look good.  What highlight colour would go with the electric blue?  only white I think which may look naff.

 

I'd look at lots of online photos before you decide, it's so personal.....!

I'll echo the welcome, sounds like I may be about 3 days ahead of you on the decision to buy a 250, I started a thread over the weekend on my choices and the group, collectively, have helped me on things like tire choice, which I'm now going to source myself and have asked Simon at WF to remove from my order, at least for now.

He responded today that WF can't get them ATM as "The R1R tyre is not officially imported by Toyo UK due to some sort of out of date certification" at the moment, but I'm sure a bit of web shopping around they will be obtainable and the forum highly rate them over the WF T1R.

I also have not picked a colour, but RED it currently top of the list.

Keep posting, and try to find your local group, great bunch of like minded people here, made me really welcome

It's common knowledge that red is always faster

As above its a hugely personal choice. The electric blue is lovely. The white is super clean looking. Black is stealthy and mean looking. Orange not as popular as in the past but looks really good with black/carbon accents. Yellow again looks excellent with black. 

I agonized for ages before settling on the best colour.......

I've just ordered my bodywork in electric blue as well, although I was tempted by the orange. I'm a big fan of bold colours on these cars.

Dave E's is blue too, but with classic ZK bodywork, plus swept wings!

from sunny Essex.        Yellow attracts clouds of bugs in the summer but does look good with black accents. My fave would always be blue and black.
