CraigHew Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 I've had a most enjoyable morning around my favourite North Wales roads today, about 240 miles in all. One little niggle that has developed is that my rear view mirror has started to droop when driving in a more spirited fashion. This hasn't happened before but I have put a wide view clip-on style Longacre mirror last winter. I can't see any small grub screws to tighten the ball and socket arrangement and I'm reluctant to super glue it. Any suggestions? One guy on line has "shimmed" his with silver foil, I guess feeding it in between the ball and socket to take up any slack but he reported a return to droopiness after a few weeks. Quote
Thrustyjust Posted May 26, 2017 Posted May 26, 2017 Small touch of loctite on the ball will stiffen it up and will probably move if the need arose. Quote
CosKev Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Drooping at your age is quite common Craig There are some little blue pills that will help......... Quote
