So being the boss I figured I'd start and finish early today. 

Nice day fit a run in the car, or do I enjoy a cold beer in the garden?

that's an easy one. go for an early drive then enjoy a few beers in the garden.

I managed about 250 miles around North Wales this morning, home for 1pm.....

Last night, Mrs Red Spider said "shall we go out in the Westfield tomorrow afternoon " . Got home today and "it's too warm, we'll do some gardening instead "

Well,

Just been out for most of the day - towards the Cotswolds stopping at a nice pub for lunch. Good food and all their Hook Norton beer looked really inviting but lots of sunshine and a Westie meant alcohol free (uuuukkkk) was the safest option .

Cream tea on the way home and a wander around a garden centre (well, you have to don't you !) - my wife even said when we got home that she enjoyed the day out (well, except the bit where I floored it on the only nice smooth piece of road we'd found all day ). Sunburn already kicking in on arms and legs though.... 

Already planning next trip (even further next time) but before that, a little light refreshment  ......

Curborough track day today

Set off to my parents for a barbecue at lunch time. High pressure fuel pump packed up on the way.

Broke down at 1 PM. Tow truck arrived at 7 PM.

It did have the decency to stop opposite a tea shop that had an extensive range of cakes.

It's the first time it's let me down in 17 years, so can't grumble really.

Managed a super blat this morning as I thought I'd get out on my own before the predicted deluge/thunder/wet stuff which then didn't happen so we had a BBQ accompanied by some of that brown stuff in a bottle. This is becoming a habit (driving the Westfield that is ). Even broke the news to my dearest that a fuel injection upgrade is on the cards (well, paid for actually) and we didn't have an argument
