Quinten Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 I'm not even sure if I have a problem or not, but I would like to monitor my AFR. Is this something that is possible in Easimap at all? I had a look at the logging, but of course no 'AFR' option, so I probably need to look at a couple of parameters and log those? Or is the *only* way to get an AFR gauge and wideband lambda? Quote
Kingster Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 My MBE could monitor it - but you will need a Wideband Lambda and controller regardless. One with a gauge is not a lot more than one without. Quote
Quinten Posted May 24, 2017 Author Posted May 24, 2017 Hmm, guess I'll just have to give it a rest then... Quote
Quinten Posted May 24, 2017 Author Posted May 24, 2017 Had another thought, can I tell if I have a wide or narrowband lambda fitted by looking at the voltage reading in Easymap? I know I am running open loop (as I checked the configuration), but I also know the lambda sensor reports some value in the logging screen... I just can't recall what the value(s) was/were... Quote
Kingster Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 Open loop means no need for lambda Doesn't it? Whereas closed loop uses lambda sensor to keep emissions in check. i guess look on the exhaust and see what's bolted in to it. Quote
Quinten Posted May 24, 2017 Author Posted May 24, 2017 Correct, open loop = lambda disabled. My exhaust has lambda fitted (4 wires), but from my understanding you can only tell by looking at the output voltage if it is wide or narrow? Quote
Kit Car Electronics and Essex AO Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 The MBE956 uses a narrow-band sensor so nothing much useful gained by looking at the voltage Quote
