Westfield Mini TRZ

Hi,new to the forum but any advice welcome,we bought the last TRZ and built it 7+ years ago,its on the button brand new and unused, what makes it a little interesting is we have original plans etc, rather than going down the usual Yamaha and Suzuki engine route we spent months negotiating with Triumph and managed to secure 2 brand new 1200cc water cooled 4 cylinder 150 BHP engines, these had mega torque and of course the right badge, one is still sitting oiled up and new in the crate.

A forum member SteveD was interesting in finding 1 many moons ago but i cant now locate him.

Welcome :t-up:

I'm sure there are many members on here that have never heard of or know what the Westfield TRZ was so please post up plenty of photos of your car as it would be very interesting to see.

Hi and :ww:

Please have a look at our forum guidelines and posting rules here, specifically the rules on posting adverts.

Just to add - we'd welcome info and pics - happy to find out more about it if you want to start a non-selling thread :t-up:

Indeed and apologies I should have quoted from the rules for clarity:

  • Personal adverts may be posted by fully paid up WSCC Members in any member advert section of the site
  • Non-members may post adverts during their initial 30-Day Trial Membership period to the External Adverts section either as links to another site or as full adverts

Just a quick note on this post for clarity.

We (the moderators) often get faced with a decision to hide/lock/edit a post. This is because our forum is pretty popular and some people view it as an easy way to get free "social media" advertising. It happens pretty regularly and if we didn't pounce on it, the forum would be full of people offering Viagra, easy ways to earn $10,000 a week and links to dodgy porn sites.

So, we often spot a post and have to make a decision if it is something that is considered to be a "benefit to members" - after all, this forum is paid for by our members. Bearing that in mind, members have privileges and we are obliged to protect them. One of these is advertising items for sale, hence this post received our attention.

After a backroom discussion, we thought this particular post was treated a little harshly and gave the wrong impression to a potential new member.

It has therefore been "unlocked" and we hope everyone understands our reasoning behind the decisions.

Hello!!!!

I join you today because I have seen that you are searching informations about the Westfield TRZ.

I’m a french owner and I can tell you what is this car.

There is not a lot or car like that. I think There is only 13 cars builted. They were commanded in 1995 by a french pilot who wanted to create a new category on french tracks.

The first one, the prototype is the car I tried on the Lohéac track and the owner is a friend. The others are stil in France, and all of the owners are in love with that strange car!!!

I finished to bought a car which is the number one, with its original Honda 1000 CBR engine.

I have a lot of photos for you for a future post!

Ivan

What bit of this is a Westfield? I can't find any reference to this, except a few postings about racing in France with what appears to be a Mini replica? Is it something that the Westfield Sports Cars company designed or had a hand in?

Small feature in this month's Classic and Sportscar about unusual racing Minis includes this.
