According to other sources on the net, 3 Sisters race track is in administration. There are sprints on our calendar for this later this month and in July. Anyone know for sure whatis happening?

Pap - its true then

If you look on the Companies House site, it's been run in administration by the liquidators for over a year now, though the goodwill has been sold; whether than means someone is trying to resurrect it though is another matter entirely...

I have already spoken to someone about this. Longton DMC are aware of the situation and are currently trying to contact someone about the situation and future events etc. I will post when I hear anything

Based upon the info provided by Adam far as future events are concerned I believe it will depend on the main issues:

1) With whom do Longton and District have a contract with for the provision of their sprints at 3 Sisters?

2) If it is The Racing School Ltd then only their Administrators can state what is their strategy for the future of The Racing School Ltd ie Sale of the Business versus an orderly Liquidation of the business?

3) Can/could Longton and District put on sprints at 3 Sisters without the involvement of The Racing School Ltd or any such company that replaces them at 3 Sisters?

If Longton and District currently have a contract with a company other than The Racing School Ltd then the situation will be different to that outlined above!

Suffice to say we need a statement as quickly as possible from Longton concerning their contractual commitments to The Racing School Ltd (if any) and if they do, a statement from the Administrators to explain what they are planning to do with what remains of the company!

I hope this helps

PRESS RELEASE

Issue: Immediate 03.05.17

THREE SISTERS RACE CIRCUIT – LEASEHOLDER STATEMENT

The leaseholder of Three Sisters Race Circuit, Motor Circuit Management Ltd (MCM) confirms it was advised yesterday that the circuit operating company The Racing School has gone into liquidation.

MCM is aware that all the permanent and casual staff were made redundant and as lease holder we were advised that the operator was no longer in a position to operate the circuit under our agreements.

As a result MCM is urgently looking to put in place either a new circuit operator or management in order to re-open the circuit. As soon as we are in a position to confirm a re-opening date a further press release will be issued.

Can we thank the fans and customers of Three Sisters Race Circuit for their support and understanding during this difficult time and reassure the public that we are doing all we can to step in to re-employ the many staff whose livelihoods depend on the circuit and to ensure this valuable North West facility remains operational.

Given the staff shortages there is no one manning the phones or circuit and any updates will be communicated via the Three Sisters Facebook page at the present time.

Further Information on Three Sisters Race Circuit please visit:

Three Sisters is known as ‘The Jewel of the North’ within the motorsport fraternity. As the North West’s premier outdoor circuit it is approved by the Motor Sport Association to host international karting events.

John Thanks

Unfortunately confusion still reigns

Motor Circuit Management (MCM) do not come up in a google search

However Motorsport Circuit Management do come up and they are based at 3 Sisters Circuit and are the single 100% shareholder of The Racing School Limited which is now in liquidation.

It will remain to be seen if they have the financial stability to continue as Leaseholders of ther circuit and to appoint replacement circuit operators as they state in he press release!

From what I gather the circuit is council owned and its running is leased out. It is the leasing company which is in trouble so the circuit could be run by another outfit which hopefully will materialise
