Tommy turtle Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Hi, i just thought I should introduce myself as I've finally joined and just started building my car. I'm building an S2000 car for the road and also to do some sprinting and the odd race here and there. I've still got my race licence so it would be rude not to use it. I'm building it as and when I can afford it so it may take a year or so, maybe longer. This is how far I've got so far. A long way to go but I'm enjoying it. I hope to see you all out on some runs/pub meets in the future. Cheers. Tommy 1 Quote
Captain Colonial Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 to the club - see you at Stoneleigh this weekend? Quote
Thrustyjust Posted April 27, 2017 Posted April 27, 2017 Welcome Tommy to quite an elite group. Lots of nice kit on the car, but one thing the front springs should be on the rear and vice versa. Not too far from you in Newbury . Looks like decent progress so far anyway. Keep at it and remember we know far more than the manual to help you, so ask away with any issues. Quote
Tommy turtle Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 Thanks chaps. Yes I'll be at Stoneleigh Sunday. Ah, the springs..........I knew that. Not. Thanks for the offer of advice too. I pass by Newbury most days as I work near Andover Quote

If you need any questions and face a car, then I am en route and the kettle is always on Quote
Tommy turtle Posted April 27, 2017 Author Posted April 27, 2017 Thanks. I'll take you up on that offer when I get some free time. I'd like to actually see an S2000 car in the flesh. Quote
Trevor Little (Trevturtle) - Treasurer Posted April 28, 2017 Posted April 28, 2017 . There are some really well built s2000s in the club @Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - WSCC AO Rep and @finkangel are close to me and both have great cars. I'm sure they'll be along soon to say hello. And both are a walking encyclopedias as far as builds are concerned 1 Quote
