Getting there - bit by bit

Weekend of cleaning in prep for next weekend.

Saturday saw the removal of the seats to deep clean the cockpit and touch in some marks, no carpets to worry about but despite only being four bolts per set my arms are now ripped and bruised to hell, space is tight. All wheels removed, arches cleaned, wheels waxed and suspension cleaned up

Second set of new mirrors fitted, tiny but convex lenses give great field of view.

Swapped out the original and grubby 5 3/4" headlights for a shiny new pair of 7" units with LED DRLs - pretty essential in something as small as this

Looks ace, some mesh in the bonnet vents would finish it off nicely IMO.

Thank you, its definitely having some love thrown at it, not that I think it has ever not been pretty well pampered.

Been down to Intatrim this morning and agreed on materials, colours, stitching etc of the new seats - very happy with what we have agreed, also sorted out a matching gear lever gaiter to tie it all together

Just another 4-6 weeks to wait, giving me time to work out how I'm going to wire in the heated seats - wiring is not my strong point

What seats are you going for?

Have you seen them in the flesh/tried them?

Only reason I ask is my m8 had some odyssey ones and they weren't very good tbh.

No strength in them and uncomfortable, he's gone over to the ones you have fitted now and they are a much better all round seat! :)

They are the new Stoneleigh GT seats, a lot more rigid than my current ones, I think they are going to discontinue the Odyssey seats

If I remember right, didn't the business change hands a couple of months ago?

- certainly looks like theirs been some fresh ideas and thinking brought in, at least.

Yes, Rob bought the business. Did a repair on my Mercedes seat a few months ago and was massively impressed with the quality of their work.  They are looking for fresh ideas, new thinking to grow the business, already they have decided to do a narrower version of the Stoneleigh GT seat, happy to customise every seat they make - very happy with what I have seen so far
