Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Can anyone recommend an insurance company for my BMW. I have tried the usual price comparison sites. I want to have breakdown cover but all the ones I find will only take the car ten miles and I need national breakdown and recovery. Quote
CraigHew Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Geoff, I've gone with Saga for 2nd year in a row. I don't normally do that but their premium was exactly the same as last year for my 5 series. We have seperate breakdown cover though, which covers me and Helen (individually) in any car, nationally plus recovery. 1 Quote

Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted April 23, 2017 Author Posted April 23, 2017 Thanks Thirstyjust. I will give them a try now. Just tried Saga and they are out of the ball park on this one. I have also tried A Plan for the past couple of years but they where to expensive. I will try them again though tomorrow. Quote
Stuart Posted April 23, 2017 Posted April 23, 2017 Get separate breakdown cover from Auto Aid. Covers any car with you or your wife in it for £43 a year. I use it and for insurance LV were best value for my X3 1 Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted April 23, 2017 Author Posted April 23, 2017 Thanks Stuart. That AutoAid looks really good and I will be using them by the look of things for the breakdown cover. 1 Quote
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup) Posted April 24, 2017 Author Posted April 24, 2017 Well, I rang them all today. I have gone with A Plan again as they have insured Buttercup and the BMW cheaper than the cheapest price I was quoted for the BMW. I must say that credit is deserved by Jamie from A Plan as he knew the cheapest price that I was quoted and he beat it massively. I will also be taking out the breakdown cover through AutoAid as it appears to be great value and the reviews are also very good. Thanks everyone for all your suggestions. Quote
