One of the few things I disliked about my car when I collected it were the mirrors, did not look good and also had a tendency to fold in on themselves above a certain speed.

After some looking around I decided to try a pair of the ones in the second pic below - I was a little dubious because of the cost but they are actually very good

A 300 mile trip round North Wales planned for next Tuesday should allow me to check whether these also fold in

I would have mounted that the other way around (the triangular bit towards the car iyswim)

I tried that and it did not look quite right, however on going out for a quick drive last night having the triangular bit outboard does restrict the view a little so they will be swapped over this evening

Yeah the £6.99 ebay specials were naff, but believe me they were better than the ones it came with.  I only found they collapsed in at over 100 mph - on a track of course, but knowing you were a careful driver and not intending to track it I didn't mention it :p :d

I think they must have weakened since they were fitted Ian, I of course have never exceeded the legal limit
