Deanspoors Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Okay, so the M5 has been sold today, and now I need a new car. My requirement list is; Practical - estate/4x4 Good looking Preferably 4WD 250bhp+ can tow gross vehicle weight less than 2500kg (so I can tow without a B+E licence). Oh and a budget of less than £30k. Ideas? Cheers, Dean Quote
shrops-paul Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 A6 all road? Not sure what the Bhp is tho. Quote

Have looked at these Paul, but they're a little over the GVW of 2500kgs, means I won't be able to tow a trailer and car without a B+E licence which I don't want to do just yet. A4 Allroad is a possibility though, or more so a S4 Avant.. Quote
TAFKARM Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 I think the 250bhp + might be the problem here... seems a little excessive for a tow car! This suggestion is neither 4wd nor 250bhp+ but Golf GTD estate? Quote

Rhett Turner - Black Country AO Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 You may get a BMW 330i touring just in budget 250ish BHP and under weight. 1 Quote
Steve (sdh2903) Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Golf r estate. 300bhp. 4x4. Big boot. Quote
Stuart Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 X3 30D. 260bhps and 560 torques. 0-60 in 5.9. I just got one and I love it. You won't get a brand new one for £30k though Quote
Kyle Posted April 4, 2017 Posted April 4, 2017 Annoyingly a lot of cool stuff like RS4 avants, C63 wagon etc etc aren't type approved. Newer S4 Avants are though I think? If so it seems to match all your criteria. I'd just buy that Freelancer and have a year off work lol. Quote

I'd have a Skoda Superb 280ps 4x4 - badge aside, it's the best car I've ever had. 100% smugness from knowing you have a better car than anyone else for half the price. 1 Quote
