What's the Scrutineers opinions on half doors? I have just bought a pair of GRP half doors and a GRP passenger tonneau cover. I'm not sure I recall seeing fixed half doors on a circuit racing car on the drivers side (I know the Caterhams have the flappy vinyl ones)

I was intending to fix quick release bolts like these:

unless poppers would be a better idea. I did a quick search and didn't find a conclusive answer.

Any help or thoughts appreciated.

Mike, I think the majority (if not all) of the caterhams in mag 7's have fixed them, and they enter the car through the top of the roll cage.

I have carbon ones and I have riveted a small velcro strap to the front and rear of mine and it is wrapped around the roll cage to hold in place. I have not had a scrutineer even comment on them. they are easily removed from the drivers position in a couple of seconds if needed. (easier to do up from out side the car than in). They are also contrasting in colour from the carbon in colour, so are hopefully obvious as to how to remove them in emergency.

I am hoping to be out with the car later today so can get a picture if that helps understand my gibberish.

Not sure if you got an entry in for snetterton at the weekend but unfortunately I am not able to do it as hoped.
